	Intellimeters are installed near the main switch or circuit breakers inside a tenant's apartment, office or store. They are quickly connected to the existing line voltage, and small through-type current transfomers are installed on the main circuits entering the breaker box. Intellimeters use a highly reliable power line carrier communication system which includes a unique adaptive routing scheme to send the metering information to the Central Station. The Central Station is the communications and data storage center for the Intellimeter System. It monitors, acknowledges and controls metering information from each of the Intellimeters, and stores the information in its' non-volatile memory. It provides metering infomation to the Lobby Displays and provides telephone access for Automated Billing. The Lobby Display can be located in the main lobby or mezzanine, or at up to 20 points in a building. The Lobby Display has an LCD screen and a 16-key touch-pad that allows tenants to enter a personal code to view their individual meter readings as often as they wish.
